The Path of the Soul

Many eons ago, man lived in a paradise that the Bible calls the Garden of Eden.
It was a stage of harmony and purity, but also of ignorance. Man left this
spiritual home and descended into the material world, in order to understand the
world of matter. This was a part of the plan of God. During his voyage we
learns certain lessons, among which is one is self-knowledge.

So we all started a journey down to matter a long time ago. This journey has taken many, many incarnations. When you get in contact with matter, your desire to fulfill material satisfaction will gradually grow and you forget your true home, the spiritual world. Finally you arrive to a life of tremendous personal ambition, this is the deepest point on your journey. At this stage you have forgotten about the spiritual world, and all you know is desire for material satisfaction.

A life spent in selfish ambition will create a karma that you sooner or later karma have to meet. The law of karma is to understand the consequences of your actions, good or bad. After a life of selfish ambition, you will reap the sorrows that you earlier have bestrewn upon other people. Thus you learn the ancient lesson that in order to have a good life you have to be good to other people. You then start the journey upwards, having changed your attitudes. A spiritual life is to serve to the people you meet, to give up your selfishness and to cast out fear. The end of this journey is Nirvana, when you have given up all selfish desire, and can live in harmony and peace. This is the ultimate purpose of all human life.

Many people are still struggling on the path downwards, the path of desire. The interpretation of a horoscope will be very different if the person you cast the horoscope for is on the path on involution (downwards motivated with desire) or on the path of evolution (upwards motivated with spiritual purpose). The lesson for the person downwards is to make experiences and learn from them. The lesson for the person who is striving upwards is to understand more and more about the soul; to love, to serve and increase the selfknowledge.
